Mission Goals
The mission of CAMC is to protect the public by ensuring the quality and safety of health care in the Caribbean through the promotion of the highest standards of medical education and practice.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To organize and administer regional examinations to establish registration requirements
- To establish and manage a database of physicians
- To agree upon standards of medical practice, registration, and a code of ethics for physicians
- To develop and maintain a regional register for specialists
- To collaborate with National Medical Councils (NMC) in disciplinary matters
- To expand data base to include information on disciplinary matters
